Articles are not just for traffic or publicity. While most articles are offered for free, you can raise the bar and sell the same content for profit. You just need a strategy on how to do it. I’ll tell you how in this article.
The secret lies in one word: repurposing.
When you have written more than a handful of articles around one topic, you can start brainstorming for ideas to make money from the content. The potential is already there so you should not waste it.
In my opinions, there are 3 ways to do this easily:
1. AdSense revenue
Partnering with big ad networks allows you to monetize your site content by inserting a snippet of code into your web page. The ads will be automatically served to your site visitors and you can earn some revenue from them.
You share the revenue with Google (if you use AdSense), but considering that you don’t have to manage the relationship, issue the invoice and manage all the administrative and technical stuff, and the fact that Google has a lot of ad inventories is really beneficial for you.
2. Small report
Turn your articles into small reports that you sell as a front-end product. A list of customers is far more valuable from a list of prospects and what separates them can be as little as $7 or even $3.
Once people buy from you and have the chance to see what you have to offer, if it’s good, they will buy more from you. That’s just natural. Of course, you have to do the follow up but that’s the easy part.
3. Pre-sell to your product
Your article can be used as a pre-selling tool for your product. Use the right call to action that makes them interested and click through and buy your product. Make sure the product is of high demand and low risk to buy to convert as many visitors into customers.
If you can wait, I recommend that you capture their name and contact information though so you can build relationship and promote many different products later.
