Being a successful freelance writer requires more work and dedication that most people realize. Freelance writers need to write every day even if they aren’t on assignment. Constant writing helps to hone their skill just like a pianist practices every day by working on scales and fundamentals.

The home-based freelance writer is a creature of habit: The habit of writing. He sits and writes, stands and thinks of what he’s going to write next, pores over the day’s newspaper in hopes of getting new ideas for articles, stares at his coffee for inspiration, and puts down at least a thousand words in one day.

Creative people are often asked, “Where do you get your ideas?” or “Where do you get your inspiration?”

What people usually mean by these questions is, “How can I find my own inspiration?”

The surprising thing about inspiration is that it rarely comes when you’re sitting on the beach waiting for an idea to strike from the heavens.

Most creative people get inspired by sitting down and working on a project.

Let’s take a writer. She has an idea for a book, and knows she wants to write about a young artist who loses her sight in a car accident.

Just because you will yourself to perform an action for 30 days, does not mean that you have created a habit. By definition, a habit is what guides your actions when you are not acting consciously, and therefore habits are domain of your subconscious mind.

As we follow the teachings of the law of manifestation that comes through all the wonderful ones who have come before and taught that cause equals effect, we begin to see that we do in fact make our world what it is appearing to be. We actually do decide by our thoughts and feelings what we can expect to see in our world.

“You lead the Way”…

came to us from that still, gentle voice within, that we sometimes don’t notice because of what we call life circumstances. This time we heard it loud and clear and had a huge AHA!

It’s summer for those of us in the US and Europe. The sun is shining. The days are longer. We feel energized. Are you enjoying the classic joys of summer? Eating a dripping ice cream cone on a blazing, hot day, diving into a cool pool and walking barefoot on lush green grass? Or are you overwhelmed, overworked and overly stressed? Summer is a great time to regroup. Most of us keep different schedules for summer. We will make more trips, socialize more, and dress more casually. As a result our way of thinking loosens up a bit too, giving way to bursts of creativity and joy. Would you like to have a memorable summer as well as continue to experience personal and professional success?

Move Away From the Biblical Revelation of Creation, and Moral and Ethical Dilemmas Result
By Sandy Shaw

When we read and study the biblical teaching of Creation, in Genesis Chapter 1, we see the wonderful unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are each present - they are so united - they agree. They are so united that a singular verb can be used.

What human author would ever think of writing like that? No man would! It is ‘bad’ English, bad grammar, but superb and excellent theology.

From the beginning we learn that everything God created and made was good.

It can really get heavy at times. I was recently corresponding with a good friend of mine who mentioned that he didn’t think that he was capable of developing a calm mind in such a chaotic world, which might be a common problem for a lot of us. With stress levels at an all time high, a calm mind would certainly be welcome! So what can we do?

The universe, as all of us know, is guided by a series of very strict laws. Have you ever thought of that? We are part of the universe ourselves which implicitly makes us subject to each of these unavoidable laws.

Throughout history, there have been quite a number of exceptional people, the greatest who ever lived. What did they know that we don’t? Were they smarter? No way! Who helped them achieve their ‘outrageously big dream’? God? What is their secret? They must have had something in common though their background, time and activity fields were so different: theology, history, science, medicine, psychology, economics, and business. That ‘something’ which binds them together and makes them a walking marvel of achievement and success was their personal energy which they knew how to focus so as to grab the best in life.
