One-day cricket match is known and loved all over the world. It has been able to attract a lot of spectators because of the fact that it involves insistent, risky and amusing batting that frequently results in cliffhanger endings.

Besides, it ensures that a viewer could go and see a complete match without having to dedicate five long days for watching a match that is regularly subject to unpleasant weather conditions.

Also, one-day cricket manages to attract even those who usually find five days of test match cricket extremely boring! One-day cricket is also known as ‘limited-over’ cricket match.

An interesting fact is that one-day cricket is also sometimes referred to by ‘cricket sticklers’ as “hit and giggle” or “pyjama cricket”. It is called so as the term relates to the colored clothing or uniforms worn by the players.
