It’s perhaps the most important aspect of the entire info product process. Get it right and you’ll have an abundance of buyers queuing up for your product before you’ve finished creating it. Get it wrong and you won’t make a sale of your info product and instead would of wasted time and money to create and market it.
There are certain characteristics that a niche must have for it to be worthwhile to invest in. These characteristics include:
- The niche must have PROVEN buyers. It’s likely that if you’re target market haven’t previously spent money on products in your niche, then they aren’t going to spend money on your info product.
- The niche must find the balance between competition and saturation. You’re going to find it very hard to succeed in the “make money” niche simply because there are SO many products in existence already. It will be hard to differentiate your info product from the rest. My advice: Stay out of the make money niche until you actually have made money!
- The niche must have potential for backend income. Promoting more expensive products and services on the backend is where a LOT of your money will come from. Make sure there is the potential to profit from backend products and services in your chosen niche.
