Finding success in eBay is possible as proven by sellers who have found their fortunes in the biggest online auction in the world. However, competition is really stiff nowadays, so if you want to strike it rich in eBay, you need to spice up traditional selling techniques and make the work to your advantage. You want people to overlook your competitors and go straight to you.
So how do you exactly put some pizazz to your eBay store and selling style? Here are five effective ways:
1.) Treat your Product Description area as your own advertising page. Some sellers list the details of the product and stop at that. To a regular buyer, specifications are important but what he is really looking for is a practical reason why he must buy your product. It’s your job to convince him. List all the practical benefits he can get, provide testimonials from other satisfied buyers, and just be generally enthusiastic with the presentation.
2.) In the Store Policies area, write down all your terms and conditions so your buyers will know what to expect. This will also serve as your protection from delinquent buyers who don’t respond to your messages, pay on time, or have a lot of unreasonable demands.
3.) Design your own store logo and put it in your Store Policies area. This gives you online store a more professional look.
4.) If you have any newest additions to your product list, bring them to the notice of your buyers by placing attention-grabbing tags and banners that bear messages like “Hottest and Latest Items” or “New Products at Introductory Prices!”
5.) Encourage buyers to look at similar products through eBay’s cross-promotion. This works by allowing you to post pictures of and links to other items buyers might be interested in at the bottom of an item’s Purchase page.
