Alright so you love animals, and animals love you too. You seem to develop a special bond with animals, more so than humans. This is an amazing gift that not many people are blessed with. So you decided that a career with animals is a career that you enjoy doing for the rest of your life. Problem is you are clueless where to start looking for a career with animals.

So what do you need to do if you are really interested in a career with animals?
Firstly, you need to have high school education. This is a pre-requisite and almost mandatory in most countries. You will also need to undergo specialization courses which may take up two to eight years of your life. Of course, the length of study determines how far you can and want to go.
Jobs which are related to sciences, for instance veterinary medicine and biology will require you to have learnt organic chemistry and physics during your high school years. You can also pay a visit to the universities and colleges offering specialist courses and find out more on the undergraduate pre-requisites.
Some of the jobs that you may find yourself interested with a career in animals may include some of these. Veterinarians, biologist, conservation officer, wildlife rehabilitator, park ranger, environmental management and many others in the wildlife area.
You can also choose to work in the zoo as a researcher, animal keeper, animal specialist or animal trainer. A career with animals also allows you to work with pets where you can specialize in the area of animal behavior, outreach programs as well as therapy and psychology.
The general areas of work where you will find yourself into if you are pursuing a career with animals will include agriculture and natural resources, education, environmental sciences, fisheries and wildlife sciences, animal welfare and environmental law, psychology, science technology and veterinary medicine.
